A few months ago, we hosted a 'reverse giveaway' where we asked the Kula Community to share something that they were excited about with us in exchange for some Kula 'magic'.
Mindy Huang, founder of Jewelry by Yali, shared her jewelry with us, and we loved it so much that we wanted to feature it in the Kula Marketplace! These earrings are hand beaded by Mindy with a lot of love. The earrings feature a combination of opaque and translucent beads, and they are even more beautiful in person - especially when the sunlight shimmers on them!
About the artist, Mindy Huang:
Mindy was born and raised on Unceded Duwamish and Coast Salish land (Seattle). Yali is her Cantonese name. Art has been a part of her life since childhood, and she has always had a soft spot for handmade jewelry (anyone who knows her knows she has what feels like an endless collection). Jewelry by Yali was her way of combining her love of both. It started out as a way to pass the time and then her friends convinced her to share her pieces. Now she hopes her earrings can bring a little bit of joy and beauty to people's day-to-day lives. Outside of art, she spends most of her time hiking, backpacking, traveling (well, pre-pandemic), eating yummy food and drinking boba, and bingeing kdramas.
