The moment we saw it, we knew it was special... it contains so many of the Kula community's favorite things: galaxies, mushrooms, moons.... and puns. We are so thrilled for Melissa and so unbelievably proud to feature her art on a Kula Cloth.
Melissa Robbins-Eugene is a visual artist based off the central coast of California who creates colorful, whimsical, nature-inspired illustrations. Fueled by a love for fairytales, foraging, and long walks in the woods, she finds her largest inspiration are mushrooms, which perfectly bridge the line between fantasy and reality. She uses real specimens to lend scientific accuracy to her art in the hopes that it will not only inspire, but also educate others in wild food harvesting and living harmoniously with nature.
