Product details

  • The Rapunzel Gaiter® (patent pending) is the neck gaiter long-haired outdoor humans have been waiting for. Designed with three patent-pending hair ports, it lets you wear ponytails, braids, buns, or pigtails without awkward bunching, frozen neck gaps, tangled hair, or the sensory nightmare of stuffing all your hair down your jacket.

Whether you’re hiking snowy trails, skiing, motorcycling through cold mountain air, wandering windy deserts, or simply trying to look adorable at the trailhead coffee shop, the Rapunzel Gaiter keeps you warm, comfortable, and weirdly delighted every time you put it on.

Unlike traditional gaiters that seem designed for people who magically have no hair, this one actually works with your hairstyle instead of against it. The soft fleece-lined fabric keeps your neck cozy while still allowing your hair to sit naturally, so you can stay protected from cold wind, sun exposure, dust, and winter weather without constantly readjusting everything every five minutes.

It’s functional enough for serious outdoor adventures, cute enough for mountain-town selfies, and thoughtful enough to make you immediately wonder why nobody invented this sooner.

    Perfect for:

    • Skiing + snowboarding
    • Winter hiking + snowshoeing
    • Motorcycling
    • Desert hiking + sun protection
    • Braids, ponytails, buns, and pigtails
    • People who are irrationally annoyed by conventional neck gaiters

Because honestly? Your hair deserves freedom too.

This Rapunzel print features It’s A Jungle Out There, original artwork on the Lil’ Nasty All Mountain Skis and Myth All Mountain Snowboard by Lauren Bello Okerman.

  • People love the Rapunzel Gaiter® because it solves an oddly specific problem that almost nobody else seems to acknowledge: long hair and traditional neck gaiters do not get along. The moment people pull their ponytail or braids through the ports for the first time, there’s usually an immediate “WAIT… this is SO much better” reaction.

Customers especially love that they no longer have to:

    • Stuff their hair awkwardly down their jacket
    • Freeze the back of their neck by pulling hair over the top of the gaiter
    • Deal with tangled, sweaty, static-filled hair after a long day outside
    • Constantly readjust their gaiter every five minutes
    • Choose between warmth and looking cute

People also love that it feels genuinely thoughtful — like it was invented by someone who actually spends time outside with long hair. It’s warm without feeling bulky, functional without feeling overly technical, and whimsical enough to make outdoor gear feel fun again.

Questions, answered

Common questions about the Rapunzel Gaiter

  • YES. In fact, the Rapunzel Gaiter was basically born from the deep human desire to let pigtails fly, unincumbered while remaining thermally protected.

  • Absolutely. Ponytails, braids, low buns, weird mountain hair — all welcome here.

  • Two side ports: accommodate a single side braid (on either side) or pigtails. One back port: accommodates a back braid or a pony tail.

  • Yep! It was designed by someone who got extremely annoyed by conventional gaiters while riding motorcycles. It works great with bicycle helmets, ski helmets, motorcycle helmets, horseback riding helmets and climbing helmets. Well, all helmets, really.

  • You can still wear it! The ports are covered by small flaps so wind won't get in.
