Good to know
Questions, answered
Everything you've been wondering about using a pee funnel!
-
Probably not! Most people get the hang of it shockingly fast. We highly recommend a practice shower pee before your first wilderness debut. Also, take it from me: do NOT USE YOUR PEE FUNNEL FOR THE FIRST TIME in a windstorm at 13,000ft on the side of Mt. Rainier. Just trust me on that one.
-
YES. This is the magical life-changing part. Simply unzip your pants and place the funnel against your body. Some folks find that they might need to lean forward slightly in order to encourage the bladder to release (it's normal for this to feel 'odd' the first few times you try it!). Don't lean back. Backflow = not good.
-
This is where pee funnels absolutely shine.
-
Many people specifically use pee funnels because squatting is uncomfortable, painful, or unstable.
-
The Freshette is not absorbent, so patting dry after using it with the Kula Cloth is akin to pee-vana. Kula x Freshette = the dream team.
-
Nope! It's great for travelling, anywhere you might need to use a porta potty or disgusting bathroom, hiking or walking in places that have limited privacy, or if you are wearing a harness (i.e. rock climbing, mountaineering).
