Creepy Cat has escaped civilization and feels considerably better.
This anniversary tee features our beloved Creepy Cat wandering into the forest for a much-needed break from emails, errands, deadlines, and the general absurdity of modern existence. Illustrated by Colete from Binky & Crumb, this design captures a tiny cabin in the woods, watchful trees, mountain magic, and one extremely relatable little cat wearing a backpack and choosing peace.
It is whimsical, weird, outdoorsy, and just the right amount of medieval. Perfect for anyone who has ever walked into the trees and thought, “Ah yes. This is where my nervous system was supposed to be.”
Printed on a soft, comfortable tee and created to celebrate another year of Kula Cloth magic, community, and beautifully strange adventures.

People will love this shirt because it says what every outdoorsy introvert, overstimulated business owner and emotionally exhausted human has felt at least once:
I have escaped civilization and feel considerably better.
This tee is funny, weirdly wise, and deeply relatable — like a tiny wearable permission slip to disappear into the woods for a while. We commissioned Colete from Binky & Crumb to create this shirt: a magical little forest world filled with watchful trees, a cozy cabin, mountain light, and Creepy Cat standing there with a backpack like they’ve finally found the place where their soul can BREATHE.
It’s the perfect shirt for hikers, cabin dreamers, cat people, backpackers, artists, and anyone who has ever looked at society and thought, “Respectfully, I need to go stand near a tree.”
About the artist, Colete Martin:
My name is Colete. I’m an illustrator, painter, and educator with a love for traditional illustration techniques and my cats. I received a BFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in 2020 and have been working as an artist since.
My illustrations come to life in the margins of my sketchbook, inspired by the ugly little creatures lurking in medieval manuscripts. I am deeply interested in traditional materials and mixing media. Mistakes and idiosyncrasies are the heartbeat of my work.
In my free time I enjoy running, sitting by the wood stove and playing my stand-up bass.

I have escaped civilization
and feel considerably better.
The trees have stopped asking
what I do for a living.
The cabin does not care
if I have answered my emails.
The moon only smiles
from behind a cloud
as if it knows exactly
why I came here.
I walked until the world
grew moss around the edges,
until the birds began speaking
in tiny golden prophecies,
until even the stones
seemed to understand me.
Here, I am not late.
I am not behind.
I am not a creature
made of errands and alarms.
I am simply a small strange cat
with a backpack full of snacks,
standing in the forest
remembering that I belong
to the mountains,
to the mushrooms,
to the magnificent art
of disappearing
for a while.
