January 2022:

I'll be posting a new video with a theme for each month of the year + adding some bonus content - like my favorite things, books, and other little snippets of inspiration that I think might help you focus your attention on the infinite good in YOU and in the world. Sometimes its easy to focus on what we want to fix - but when we can bring ourselves into alignment with the solution, rather than focusing on what is 'wrong', miraculous things happen - and all of you are a big part of this miracle we call life.

I am so truly glad you are here. If you have any questions at all, please never hesitate to reach out to me. My personal e-mail address is: anastasia@kulacloth.com

Happy January!

Books I'm reading right now: Radical Compassion by Tara Brach

Cookies I'm baking: Whole Wheat Chocolate Oat Cookies

February 2022:

Happy February, calendar club! I'm back again with another video and some music. This video works best if you are in a place where you can sit quietly - especially towards the end of the video. How is your February going, and what are your intentions for this month? Right now, my intention is to move into February with an open heart - compassionate and kind to all beings around me. If you'd like to share your intentions with me, feel free to send me an e-mail anastasia@kulacloth.com Who knows... maybe I'll write back to you with a sticker and a poem if you send me your mailing address. Just sayin'....

These are just a few things I love right now (not paid to mention any of these btw - I just genuinely like them):

Books I'm reading right now: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. Stop everything and read this. This is my 2nd time reading it, and it's REMARKABLE. One of my favorite fiction books, ever.

A song I'm in love with right now: I could dance to this one every single day and never get bored....

A recipe I made this month: Smitten Kitchen Winter Spinach and Harvest Squash Bake Tasting notes: OMG, it was really good. I also added chicken, but definitely not necessary. It was also very easy to make and extremely filling.

Favorite snack: I have been eating these Request Bar protein bars in chocolate chip cookie flavor before my dancing and while hiking and they are SERIOUSLY PHENOMENAL. And I hate bars, so that's saying a lot.

Things I'm really excited about this month: So, I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY excited to lead another month of The Dance Experiment for Kula. I probably talk a lot about dancing, but I cannot begin to describe how much fun I have with it. It's been the most invigorating experience of my life, and I feel so alive when I dance. I led a dance month last month... and I've decided to extend it again for another month - it's been that much fun. So, I'm excited about that. I am also really excited to go on a vacation sometime at the end of February. I'm going to Utah for some backpacking, and I love spending time in the desert. Running Kula is (more than) a full time job, so getting away for a week sometimes feels a bit risque - HA!

This somehow turned into a little bit more of a blog post this month - but hey, that's fun right? I feel like all of you (I don't even know who is reading this to be honest!) are in some sort of 'secret society' with me - and it's fun to share random personal stuff.

OH!! One more thing - so, there was this 'crazy' thing that happened a month ago... basically, REI told me last year that they wanted to purchase the tent print again this year... well, I got the REI order a month ago, and they had ordered an entirely different print (Arctic Pine). This meant that I got to spend a small SUV's price tag worth on fabric (HA!!), but it also meant that I had a little bit of extra fabric to spare... which meant that the WHIMSICAL MINDS of the Kulaverse got together and created something wild and wonderful... and I will now reveal it to all of you, however, you are SWORN TO SECRECY AS IF YOU JUST TOOK A BLOOD OATH.

C'mon now. Have you ever seen a more perfect work of art? I know you haven't. You are the first humans on earth (well, other than me and Amanda the artist) to glimpse this breathtaking work of art - so if you need a moment to compose yourself... now is that time. A cold shower is what I recommend.

Ok, I'm getting carried away and it's time to go dance (again). Happy February, dearest CVC Calendar Club Members... and I will see you in a month (well, part of a month because February barely counts as a real month).  Sending you all lots of love, wherever you are right now.

-Anastasia

 March 2022:

Hello beloved Calendar Club! I'm a little late in posting our March video since I was on vacation in Utah - so I hope you will forgive me. Have you ever been to Utah? If not, I highly recommend it! I'm going to share a little photo of me from the trip - we went through some really cool slot canyons in Escalante, and it was a total blast!

Me, in a very narrow slot canyon!

Here's our video for March - which features the most epic appearance from my cat Niko (he basically steals the show and turns the entire video into a part inspirational/part comedy cluster):

Ok, so the fun things I want to share this month are as follows...

What am I drinking right now? TEA!! It's all about the TEA! Lately, I've developed a small obsession for Pu-erh tea. This tea is super rich and dark and it's good for multiple infusions so you can drink many cups from one small brick of the tea.

https://www.uptontea.com/pu-erh-tea/china-loose-leaf-pu-erh-tea/p/V00320/

What am I listening to right now? Ok, so I discovered RY-X a few weeks ago, and have basically been obsessed with his music ever since. It's super fun to dance to if you are into that sort of thing... and it's the most fun to experiment with all sorts of different movements and shapes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

What else is going on this month? Well, I'll drop a little hint and say that we have a CVC Kula + CVC SOCKS + CVC PANTS all in the works right now and I could not be more surprised or delighted. If you had told me a few years ago that that a creepy victorian cat would be the 'iconic figure' of my business, I would have been SO CONFUSED... I mean... uhhhh... what?! But you know what? If I had TRIED to create a mascot, I would have fallen short. I feel lucky that CVC chose Kula to be its home because it has been so much fun to share the CVC love with all of you.

Until next month... keep it creepy friends and be open to the ridiculous possibilities of life and all that it wants to create. You are a precious bloom and your light was meant to shine brightly - never forget that. As always, never hesitate to reach out or say hello - you are loved very much.

April 2022:

Hello friends, and welcome to April's Calendar club video! In our video this month I talk about how to get out a cycle of feeling 'stuck' or 'problem focused' and how to move more in the direction of creating what you want. This is something that I practice on an ongoing and constant basis because our brilliant brains are naturally designed to have a negative focus bias (which is, of course, meant to protect us!). However, sometimes this negative bias can lead us to focusing too much on the problem and it keeps us in a holding pattern of repeating the same cycles again... and again... and again. I hope this little video gives you some tips and tricks on how to break that cycle. Plus, I included a little cameo from The Musical Mountaineers at the end. I hope you enjoy it!

A few things that I'm enjoying this month: (BTW - these are just things I genuinely am enjoying - not sponsored in anyway and these folks have no clue I'm even remotely mentioning them).

Recently... I've developed an obsession with Oat Haus... it's Granola Butter Spread that is SO GOOD... I put it on rice cakes... eat it off a knife (oops)... and I even (gasp!) put it on almond butter filled pretzels ... which might be defeating the point since I think it's a nut butter alternative. But hey, I like to live dangerously.  If you try it, let me know what you think! I'm seriously obsessed.

Music: The dance experiment continues, and I'm always looking for new tracks to dance to. I just discovered this random band called 'ufo ufo' and they have some fun, floaty, danceable tunes that have been really enjoyable for me to dance to at 5am at the cell tower platform in the dark...

Other randomness for April: I am drinking unholy amounts of tea... usually a cup of black tea (with honey and milk) in the morning... + a mini pot of puerh black tea (no milk or honey) in the afternoon... and then my friends at Iona tea just released a new 'coffee substitute' called Raven which is *amazing* (it's low in caffeine) and perfect to drink in the afternoon. I have determined that my daily schedule looks like this:

Wake up at 4:30 AM... hike... dance... hike + workout... drink tea... shower... eat breakfast... drink tea... 'work'.... drink tea... drink tea... hike... dance... drink tea... eat desert... drink tea... sleep. Phew!  I wouldn't trade it for anything, and I suppose it makes sense that I would need to pee so much (you know... the whole Kula Cloth thing - ha!)

I've been really trying to continue my personal process of 'slowing down' and stepping out of a place of 'urgency' around pretty much anything at all. When it comes down to it, there is nothing more important than simply bringing our own beingness, presence and love into the world. All of the 'stuff' that we think matters often just wants to reside in our ego's idea of what should and shouldn't be happening and it ultimately pulls us away from our true nature. While I am by no means perfect - it is a daily practice to come back to that knowing over and over again. From that place, true creation from a place of love is possible and the anxiety and fear and worry and doubt and frustration seem to melt away - replaced by something much deeper.

Finally - something else that I'm unbelievably excited about is that my husband Aaron launched his own business called Lake House Glass. A few years ago, I started visualizing him leaving his job at BNSF Railway... and I've held onto the vision and the feeling and the knowing that at some day that would happen. Kula would not be possible without him because he believed in me when I left my job to 'pursue my dream in the outdoor industry' (which was code for, 'I don't know what the F I'm about to do). So - I've spent so much time just waiting and waiting for this moment when Kula reached a point where I would be able to give Aaron the chance to pursue his own dreams as well. He's a little scared because stepping into the unknown is scary, but I've been really encouraging him and I'm excited to watch him flourish and I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to cheer HIM on. It feels like so much has been about 'me' and Kula - and while Kula is exciting to me in every possible way... there is nothing that makes me MORE thrilled than watching somebody else step into their own creative genius.

Here's his first official 'collab' (obviously I had to make a Kula with his work on it!) and his logo. How cute is that?

Well, I think those are my 'updates' for April! Until next month... keep dancing... keep drinking tea... keep appreciating others... keep finding gratitude for exactly where you are right now and please know that who you are matters so very much. It's a gift for me to be able to share this little page with all of you every month and I find so much joy in putting these words out into the world knowing that some of you will find them. If you ever want to 'write back' to me or share anything at all - please never hesitate to reach out to me directly at anastasia@kulacloth.com. I am so grateful for all of you and looking forward to virtually chatting again next month. I wish you peace, ease and wellness this month!

May 2022:

Hello dearest calendar club friends!

I apologize for uploading this video a few days late - but here we are with our video for May - which, once again, features my cats HEAVILY. I swear that they somehow *KNOW* when I'm filming these CVC Calendar videos and they show up seemingly out of nowhere to be a part of them - ha! It's so fitting, isn't it?

I hope that you are all having an absolutely BEAUTIFUL month so far! Things have been 'busy' (I'm not a huge fan of that word... maybe 'jam packed with goodness' is a better phrase?) in Kulaville lately with our creepy cat launch (my first 'launch' of anything - if I'm being honest). It's been so much fun for me to hear stories about people who are taking this little cat into the wild and getting to share laughter with others as a result of that. If that isn't the point of 'all of this' - than I want out - HA!

I was interviewed for the Explore WA State podcast the other day and the host asked me this question, "When did you know that your business was a REAL thing?" ... and I knew the exact moment. It was after I had created the product... finalized the design and shipped it out... it was the moment when I started receiving customer service messages. Lost packages... damaged products... replacements... questions... etc... suddenly I realize that owning a business is about A LOT more than just 'making something and shipping it out'. There is a relationship - a sacred one at that - that you create when you start a business and make a product. That is the relationship between the customer and the business itself - and it is not as simple as 'pay here and that's it'. I began to realize, as Kula grew, that the relationship WAS the whole point. The product was simply a way to facilitate a connection. And so, I released my attachment to the product itself - and to any results attached to any excel spreadsheet (which I don't have anyway - that's not my thing lol)... and decided to focus on simply bringing joy into the world, through whatever way that I could. That started to grow, and with the help of my sister, we reframed our 'business' as a Joy Company that happens to make a pee cloth. I try... and believe me... it is a DAILY PRACTICE... to place my focus on joyful being rather than productive doing. Ultimately, at the end of the day, what matters the most is the love and kindness that you bring into the world. That, more than anything, is a legacy that can change the planet for the better.

Ok - so here are a few little updates for May... and things that I'm really loving. I'm going to also share a playlist that I loved from last month's Dance Experiment.

Music: Just get up and dance to this playlist!!! It's a total blast, and I hope it leaves you feeling invigorated about life!

Good eats:

My obsession with Granola Butter continues - and this month I've been eating Birthday Cake flavored Granola Butter on top of a medjool date (I cut the date in half and then smear the granola butter on it). I love eating this in the morning before I do my dance session because it gives me a really good boost of energy and it tastes like... well... birthday cake. YUM.

I also recently learned how to make my own granola and I've been experimenting with adding all sorts of different dried fruits into it. I'm using this recipe for granola and then editing it a bit to make it more delicious. I've added chopped hazelnuts, mangoes and figs - and it's SO DELICIOUS!
Meditation: I wanted to share one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE meditations with all of you, because I think this one is so beautiful and it always brings me to tears and brings me back to simply being in my own body. So often we get caught up in our own minds - worrying about the things that we 'think' are important - and losing sight of the things that really are very important. I hope that you love it as much as I do. It's by Sarah Blondin, and it's called I Am Here, I am Home and you can listen to it here:

Ok, friends. Until next month... I am wishing all of you infinite ease, wellness, joy and abundance. I hope that you know how truly special you are and how much you belong here on this planet. We are all so connected - and I am sending my genuine love out into the world to all of you.

Love,

Anastasia

JUNE 2022:

Hello Calendar Club folks - I'm here with our JUNE (?!?!) Creepy Cat Calendar Video and Anastasia's random musings post for the month. Without further adieu, here is the video... featuring special guest... my husband, Aaron.

New Happenings:

The only thing consistent about life is that it isn't consistent - right? Life is about change and simply going with the flow. Nothing is permanent. This month has brought new changes and life to my little Kula family... namely, my husband Aaron 'retired' from his job with BNSF Railway to start his own business, Lake House Glass. When I left my own job, I started visualizing the day when Aaron would leave his job too and branch out on his own - we had NO IDEA how that would happen or what it would look like... and it has just been so delightful to watch the whole thing 'unfold' in a natural and beautiful way. If you had asked me what Aaron would end up doing a few years ago - I would never never guessed that he'd be a professional artist - but watching him create art and seeing the passion he has for working with glass has just been really inspiring to me... and true proof that anybody, at any age, can truly follow their heart. It's usually our THOUGHTS about something (and the unknowns) that are scarier than actually doing the thing to begin with! Thinking about it was a bit scary - but now that he's hear, it's just growing and going and flowing - and I'm so excited for him. He is busy working on commissions and we are adjusting to a life that does not revolve around him working 14 hour days (and night shifts). It's been so relaxing and nice, and I'm really happy for him and proud of him!

Other new stuff a comin':

What am I excited about lately? Well, I've been working on designing a pair of PERFECT hiking underwear for the past 3 years, and I am SO CLOSE TO BEING FINISHED. We are about to launch the 'soft launch' pre sale and I'm a little terrified and excited all at the same time! The underwear are called 'Pyka Pants' - the brand is called Pyka and they are a hybrid undershorts for anybody who squats when they pee. I'm so excited and the logo is AMAZING.....

Music I love right now:

This is the playlist that we used for day 1 of our June Dance Experiment class - and it was SO FUN. If you want to let loose and just feel super alive and invigorated, I highly suggesting dancing to this entire playlist. Seriously, it has magic powers.

Good eats:

Ok, so I jumped on the baked oats wagon, because I was so intrigued about cooking baked oats. Turns out, they are worth the hype. This is the recipe I use which makes about 2 servings:

1 banana

1/2 cu oats

tablespoon maple syrup

1/2 cu almond milk

1 egg

(you can also add PB, protein powder or a powered peanut butter or cinnamon, etc...)

<blend all the above ingredients in a blender>

Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles - anything you want. I've also put a little scoop of peanut butter into the center of the 'batter'. Put in a greased ramekin (or 2 small ramekins) and bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Pull out of the oven and let it cool for a little bit... and DEVOUR. It's SOOOOOOOOO scrumptiously good and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Meditation:

As always, my meditation practice is an important part of my life. In fact, it is usually the first thing that I do in the morning when we wake up - before we take a walk, we have been sitting together to start our day with a meditation. When you wake up in the morning you are a blank slate and you don't have all the thoughts of the day swirling around in your mind yet, so it's the perfect time to really 'prime' your energy!

This is one of my favorite meditations, and I hope you love it as much as I do:

Final thoughts for June:

As we mentioned in the video above, my husband and I have been making an intentional effort to focus on gratitude and abundance and love every single day - in fact, we have devoted about 30 minutes at the start of each day to focusing on gratitude together. I wanted to share our format for that, in the hopes that you could use it and implement it in your life too. Remember ... what you focus on grows. When you focus gently on the feeling and life without 'needing' anything to change - simply allowing yourself to sense the infiniteness that you are, things have a way of shifting around and arriving in magical ways. When Aaron and I do this, we speak it out loud which helps us to stay focused on finding the feeling.

Step 1: Find the feeling of abundance of the everythingness of everything. Notice the trees, the leaves, the world around you. Look at the vastness and the bigness of the sky. See and feel all of this and know that you are a part of something much bigger.

Step 2: Offer some affirmations or intentions. My affirmation is usually, "Abundance flows to me easily and effortlessly and in surprising ways and I am open to all things." (keep in mind Abundance = the energy of life ... creativity, opportunity, inspiration... I'm not talking about cash dollars here... I'm talking about the frequency of abundance which goes way beyond money)

Step 3: Speak out loud your visualization of your life in the present or past tense (not future tense). Say it as if it is real and find the feeling of it NOW and/or as if you are remembering it. It *IS* real - let yourself feel it, without needing it.

Step 4: Gratitude and Appreciation ... speak it out loud... say all of the things that you are grateful for in this moment. Your beating heart, your lungs that breathe, the food you eat that nourishes you... your home... your body... your life... all of the things that make this very moment possible. Gratitude for life itself - let yourself REALLY appreciate it. Appreciate the people that you love ... the people who are a part of making your life important and meaningful. Say it out loud and let yourself feel deep gratitude and appreciation for all of life. Say thank you, and really mean it!  :)

That's it! I hope this becomes a beautiful part of your day and life, just like it has for me. It's the most important part of my day. When I do this, everything else just seems to fall into place and the world around me seems to sparkle a little bit more.

I will see all of you in July - and please never hesitate to reach out at any time. You are loved, creepy cat friends!

Love,

Anastasia

July 2022:

Hello Kula Calendar Club - Happy July!! I hope that all of you are having a beautiful start to the month. Thank you all SO MUCH for being here - I have so much gratitude for YOU.

August 2022:

September 2022 Creepy Cat Calendar Club Video:

Hello Calendar Club folks! I've been remiss at writing a blog update for this page - but I'm including our video for September, and I also wanted to give all of you the 'secret' link for our brand new Pyka Pants... because, why not?

https://kulacloth.com/collections/pyka-pants

Sssssh... don't tell - HA!  :) We are so excited to make these a reality and it has been such a journey to create a pattern from the ground up. As you will see in this month's video ... I started dreaming about Pyka long before Kula was even a real 'thing'. This month's video is all about how to create in the present tense - and I hope it helps you focus on cultivating the feeling of what you want to create in the present - right here and right now. You are whole and worthy and enough exactly as you are.

Thank you all so much for being here - you are loved, friends!

October 2022 Creepy Cat Calendar Club Video:

Hello Creepy Cat Calendar Club folks - and happy October! It's been 10 months since I started filming these videos, and I want to tell you how much fun it has been to share this little 'secret' space of the world with all of you and to share more about the things that excite me. This is my birthday month, and so I wanted to take the time to share a few things that I'm really excited about:

1. Bon Bons! I started my Bon Bon experiment over a year ago now, and it has grown into such a fun way to connect with new people and eat chocolate and meet people who make chocolates! I have some really fun ideas brewing with regards to chocolate - so stay tuned. My *next* box is coming from this small chocolate maker, who was recommend to me by somebody in the Kula community: https://www.tavernierchocolates.com/product/large-classic-bonbon-collection/

I can't wait to try it, and I will obviously let everybody know how it is.

2. Riding motorcycles! When my husband left his job, we did the only rational thing that we could think of and we bought a few motorcycles - HA! One thing that I've learned on my personal journey is that high energy = abundance. We both felt SUPER excited about getting motorcycles, and while it would have been incredibly easy to argue for about 1,000,000 reasons why we *shouldn't* get them... we decided to go for it, and it's been the best adventure. Spending time together on our motorcycles has brought us closer together than we ever have been and we've been able to explore hidden nooks of the forest on our dual sports... and we are looking forward to exploring hidden roads with our street bikes. If you have an idea or a passion or something you want to try - just go for it! There is *always* a way to make something happen - even if it doesn't seem obvious at first. Instead of saying why something can't happen... just be open. Say, "I don't know how this is possible, but I'm open to all of the infinite ways in which it can flow into my life experience." And then just see what happens. Try it - and let me know what magic unfolds!

Finally - I just want to say how grateful I am for all of you to be here. I'm not sure how many people see these posts - but if you're reading this right now, just know that I'm sending a lot of love out into the universe for you. You matter and the energy that you bring into the world matters and I'm so grateful to be on this spinning orb with you. Sending you a lot of love, friends - see you next month!

November 2022:

Hello CVC Club - here's our video for November... plus some random musings below the video.

Hi everybody - I hope that all of you are having a beautiful start to your November. This is our 11th month of sharing little videos 'together' (or at least me recording them and sharing them with you!) ... and I've had so much fun doing this... so much so, that I'm going to do it again! We are deep into the planning/proofing for our 2023 calendar ... and I've already committed to filming short videos each month and writing a sporadic CVC Club Newsletter.

So - I'll fill you in on some things I'm excited about right now... because this video is all about having a 'touchstone' - things that you can come back to again and again in order to reconnect with the present moment. Of course, the present moment is never really gone... sometimes we just get lost in our minds and the stories we are creating, and we forget that it's there. Doesn't it suck when that happens? Ugh! HA! That's the experience of being a human, my friends - and each of those moments where we lose ourselves is an opportunity to find ourselves more deeply. It is an act of true love and forgiveness to come back to ourselves over and over again.

A few things I'm excited about right now:

Riding my motorcycle(s)!! I don't know if I've mentioned this before... but I've been riding motorcycles for almost 2 decades now - I learned how to ride on a tiny XR 80 Honda Dirtbike many many years ago. I got my motorcycle endorsement in 2003... and I've gone back and forth with dirt bikes and dual sports and street bikes. Recently, I acquired my *absolute dream bike* - and it's been so much fun to ride. It's a Ducati Monster Plus, and my 20 year old self who literally was so obsessed with Ducati's that I went to the Ducati factory IN ITALY... would be thrilled.

Me, on the Monster!!

I had to share one more photo... I literally safety pin my Kulas to my backpack so that they don't flop around and so that the cars behind me can see them. "Tell me you're an entrepreneur without telling me you're an entrepreneur." HA!

My latest, favorite recipe:

I just made this recipe the other day and it was FANTASTIC. You can make it vegan or vegetarian by swapping out meat and sweeteners and it was literally the most COMFORTING, delicious meal I've had in a long time. I made it with asparagus and butternut squash as the vegetables and it was beyond phenomenal: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020970-turmeric-black-pepper-chicken-with-asparagus

My latest playlist:

This was the playlist for day 1 of our November dance experiment... and it was literally just the best. If you have about 20 minutes, I highly recommend dancing to it!

My favorite meditation right now:

Absolutely, hands down, this is the BEST meditation I've listened to in a long time. I don't know what it is about his combination of voice and words and music - but it really seems to hit the gratitude muscle and usually leaves me in a small pool of tears, no matter what kind of day I'm having: https://insig.ht/lfCDcuv8Bub

My favorite bon bons right now:

I ordered some chocolates from Tavernier Chocolates - and I was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY by their flavor combos and the 'trail aesthetic' of their chocolates. They include a lot of foraged, local flavors in their collection and it was absolutely breathtaking... I enjoyed every single one of them.

Finally - I just want to say how much I appreciate each and every one of you. I don't know how many of you regularly check in on this page, but I'm grateful for all of you and grateful to know that somewhere out in the world... you are looking at a Creepy Cat Calendar and hopefully with a smile on your face. The world is a much better place with you in it - please don't forget that.

I look forward to 'seeing' all of you in December. Thank you so much for your kindness and support!

DECEMBER 2022:

Hello Creepy Cat Calendar Club folks - and WELCOME to December!

Here is the link to the meditation I mentioned in the video (which is the same meditation I mentioned last month too - ha!): https://insig.ht/3gROGk0ypvb

If you have 5 minutes, I HIGHLY recommend that you try it. It will instantly pivot and change any day from one of overwhelm to one of gratitude.

In important news, we are doing the Calendar Club AGAIN next year!!! I'm going to be sharing monthly videos + I'm adding in a small sporadic newsletter that I'm going to write and send to all of you (don't worry - not spam or sales about Kula). I am really excited to watch our special Calendar Club bloom - and I am so grateful to all of YOU for being the OG members. You can find the new calendar here: https://kulacloth.com/collections/shop-all-kula/products/creepy-victorian-kitty-2022-calendar-super-limited-edition

So, what am I excited about this month?

Honestly, I'm just excited to cultivate a relaxed, peaceful month and I'm looking forward to finding time to connect with people that I care about. My morning routine, dancing, and meditation practice are really central to my day and I intentionally take the time every day to really focus on how I want to feel. The words that always come to mind are: at ease, relaxed, free, creative, inspired, connected, loved.

Also - today is day 700 of my Dance Experiment!! For anybody who doesn't know, I have danced for 700 days in a row - and it has been absolutely life changing for me. You don't have to dance in order to do your own experiment - it can be anything that you want it to be, but I encourage you to put your priority on doing the things that make you feel the most alive and the most free. You can cultivate the feelings now of what you want to create - and then watch them ripple out into your life.

Other random things:

So, I've started making my own chocolate truffles! I made some bourbon pecan truffles and some Kula Chocolate Chip Cookie truffles - SO GOOD! If you want to try making your own, this is a good starter recipe: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1017971-chocolate-bourbon-truffles

I also made a personal promise to myself that I was going to learn how to make biscuits from scratch. Yesterday, I told my husband, amidst the 'busiest' shipping day of the year, "I am making a PROMISE TO MYSELF TO MAKE HOMEMADE BISCUITS TONIGHT." He laughed a little bit, because he thought it was humorous that my promise to myself was about biscuits lol... but it has been so important to me to continually prioritize LIVING and THRIVING - not just surviving. And so, I made biscuits ... and had the MOST DELICIOUS biscuits and gravy for breakfast this morning. It was magical and wonderful and perfect - and also shockingly easy. This was the biscuit recipe I used:

If you try it, please let me know! I am sure you'll love it.

Finally - I just want to thank all of you SO VERY MUCH For being here. I do not take it for granted that my 'job' consists of dancing, writing notes to a secret/elite Calendar Club, making silly videos on instagram and getting to talk to people about peeing everyday. YOU all are radiant beams of light and I feel so unbelievably grateful that Kula is a part of your life in some small way - so thank you for making a small place for Kula in your life and in your heart.

You are all loved so much friends and please never hesitate to reach out to me for any reason, at any time.

See you in 2023!

Love,

Anastasia
