Kula means community and making this small (but important) piece of gear is a true team effort. We strive to keep our supply chain completely transparent! Each Kula is lovingly handmade by skilled operators (that's right, there is no Kula robot or Kula machine!).

Mare resides in rural North Carolina with her family and resident enlightened master Luna aka their dog.  When she is not answering pee cloth emergency emails or finding funny memes to send to founder Anastasia, she can be found raising her children or frolicking around the peace of the earth she calls home. Mare is passionate about our connectedness to  nature and raising children in a space that honors this. She is drawn to philanthropic endeavors and has a strong drive to support grassroots organizations, particularly those that are helping to diversify outdoor spaces. Mare hopes to eventually take over the Kula empire so her sister can live on an island off grid. Then, subsequently take over the world. She also likes to take naps so that may take a few years.

She’s an avid hiker, backpacker and swimmer with a love for rivers, lakes and waterfalls.  When she’s not staring at a computer screen, or planning the next great adventure, you can find her hiking to alpine lakes and jumping in for no good reason.
