'Glazed & Amazed' - Kula Cloth ® Artist Series
Before Kula Cloth became a thing, one of the very first prototype fabrics I ever stitched together was covered in donuts—so this design feels a little bit like coming full circle (with sprinkles on top).
Did you know that donuts have been delighting humans for centuries (ummm... hellooooo it's a donut... of course it delights people!). Early versions date back to Dutch settlers in the 1800s, and the modern ring shape was supposedly invented by a sailor who wanted his fried dough to cook evenly. Today, Americans eat more than 10 billion donuts every year (which means there’s basically a donut for every hike, every backpack, and every trailhead parking lot).
This Kula is sweet, playful, and just the right mix of practical and nostalgic. May it remind you that life—like hiking and like donuts—is always better when shared.
