Cindy's beautiful art won the GRAND PRIZE in the Kula Cloth® Design Contest 2024!
Each year, we ask artists to submit designs for our annual design contest... and each year we are absolutely BLOWN AWAY by your unique and infinite creativity.
The Grand Prize winner in our contest is chosen by votes from our Kula Community -- so, in essence, YOU chose this design and helped it come to life... and we are so glad you did! It's such an honor to see Cindy's art on a Kula Cloth. 
The next time you are in a desert, do me a favor: sit down, close your eyes... and just breathe. Let me know what happens when you take time to be still in a place like that.  


About the artist, Cindy Churchman: 

Cindy Churchman is an outdoorsy Idahoan who spends her days exploring, hiking, and traveling with her two pups while also creating nature inspired designs and brands. Aside from design, she also strives to capture her adventures and the beautiful landscapes the world has to offer. Through design and photography, her mission is to inspire others to explore the great outdoors and not only connect with mother nature, but connect with each other.

Here are the details about a Kula, in case you needed to know them:

- super absorbent (absorbs 10x its weight in water!) and soft 

- advanced silver-infused, antimicrobial fabric 

- eco-friendly non-toxic materials (Bamboo Viscose, Cotton, Organic Cotton, Polyester)

- durable and waterproof 'clean' side so your hand doesn't get wet 

- easily snaps to backpack using plastic snaps

- 'double snap' allows cloth to hang while folded in half (so it doesn't touch pack and/or get dirty on the trail)

- easy to clean or rinse and quick to dry

- retro-reflective thread detail for locating it at night with your headlamp

- size is approx 6x6 inches

- weight per cloth is .63oz (note: the artist series Kulas are slightly larger than the stock print Kulas due to a different process that we use to custom print each item individually)
