Cyanotype Bandana Care Instructions: 

Cyanotype prints are archival and meant to last for many years. However, they can be susceptible to yellowing or fading if exposed to phosphates or alkaline environments (like washing with detergents or rubbing your hands with natural oil). Minimize washing. If you need to, hand wash in cold water only and hang to dry. If using a detergent, be sure to minimally use a non-phosphate detergent to avoid any fading.

About the artist, Kali, founder of Sierra Sown:

My name is Kali and I’m the one-woman show behind Sierra Sown, a world I’ve created for those who are wild. I grew up in the mountains of Santa Cruz, California, but spent most of my time in or around the ocean. After majoring in film in college, I became a river guide on the rivers of the Sierra, chasing any form of water for almost ten years: from California and Alaska to the waves and warm water of Hawaii, eventually returning home to California, and ultimately to the Sierras.
