I grew up on the East Coast ... so we didn't have Stellar's Jays... we only had bluebirds. When I moved to WA, I was AMAZED and ENTHRALLED by the Stellar's Jays - if you haven't seen them, they are amazing ... and they screech SO loudly. I also love the name... In fact, I named my car 'Stella' ... because I'm a dork... and because I love those birds so much.
