It’s going to be ok. No matter what it is, despite how insurmountable it may seem right now, it’s temporary. Always remember that the one thing you can always count on in this life is impermanence. If changes must be made, then begin with the scariest and most difficult one of all: your perspective. In the end, it’s all going to be ok.

I’m grateful for the ability to travel and meet so many interesting people along the way.
Back in 2019 I married who I thought was the love of my life, but who quickly turned out to be an abusive and manipulative narcissist with borderline personality disorder. I thought my life was over, and I couldn’t see a way out. After two and a half years, I had had enough and decided to get out! During my healing process of finding myself again, I discovered a unique passion for accomplishing difficult things – particularly through hikes and backpacking. I started my emotional healing journey on the Tour du Mont Blanc, and it was the most addictive 10 days of challenges I could imagine! My feet hurt and my body was stiff, but I could feel my self confidence growing again. And ever since, I’ve been in love with doing hard things and showing myself just how tough I am! We are all so much stronger than we think we are. All we have to do is give ourselves the chance to find it.
I’m grateful for my husband and adult children who, when I, at age 60, said I would like to get a triple crown, didn’t laugh or say it wasn’t possible. Instead, they said “go for it,” and “we want to do it with you!”

Thinking about my dad, who took me to the woods, and always had my looking for “them silly unicorns.” In August, he’ll have been gone 8 years, we’ll keep finding the beauty (despite this hard world) ❤️
